If you've ever wondered how to code beautiful web apps, bring stories to life through immersive experiences or build innovative games, our BSc (Hons) Creative Computing program is for you.
 

You'll create an original portfolio of creative projects, including mobile apps, websites, games, virtual reality (VR) experiences and digital stories. You'll learn skills from the ground up, through a mix of workshops, tech demos, creative problem-solving challenges and collaborative briefs. We believe in learning by making, so you can look forward to creating work from day one.

Creative Computing is the contemporary re-incarnation of the traditional information technology/computer science programs, for the youth of today, and the world of tomorrow. While the program builds a robust foundation in modern languages such as Python and Kotlin, tools such as Unity, Figma, and Android Studio, applications such as Cyber Security, Physical Computing, and Machine Learning; the program incorporates and promotes developing critical fundamental human skills such as critical thinking, ideation, creativity, design thinking and life-long learning, all meant to prepare students for a long life and career in creating and making digital solutions that stand out in the digital crowd.

Ever since my first BASIC program in the early 80s I have been completely immersed in technology. An electronic systems graduate, I have been experimenting with Linux and the Internet for over 30 years. Building on an IT project management background installing secure systems, I have spent much of my working life delivering emerging tools and technologies in the government sector.  Billy 2.0 is an educator, keen to inspire a new generation of ethical engineers, coders and creative content designers. Complementing creative colleagues, I focus on the underlying protocols and full stack cloud architecture we all rely on.

The field of study known as Creative Computing focuses on the creation of computer graphics and their uses in computing. Creative Computing is an area of study within the larger discipline of IT. In order to combine computing knowledge with those of other fields, a meta-technology known as "Creative Computing" has been developed. Computers are used to help people be more imaginative, and research into Creative-Computing fields has the potential to alter the course of history.

"  Human creativity needs improvement in contemporary society. Due to its fast development and pervasive utilization, computing has been an excellent servant for supporting creativity. It is not only utilized to facilitate creativity research but is also leveraged to assist creative activities in everyday life. Up to now, people have never stopped exploring the great potential of computing to facilitate human creativity. Various new computing concepts are currently emerging, especially creative computing that inspires a novel approach to improve human creativity.
